Retaining the grandeur of the cathedral-like structure to the last 3 bays of the barn, with a mezzanine bedroom/ensuite to the first bay of the renovated section of the barn.
Providing a new super-insulated building envelope, with metal standing seam sheet covering to the roof and timber cladding to the external wall face (reclaimed boards).
Energy-efficient under floor heating is included across the whole ground floor, with a Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) system and high levels of airtightness (achieving very low heating requirements). |
