The Cotswold ‘Manor House’ Extension
A single-storey side extension to a large Edwardian Cotswold stone house, providing a new formal dining room (opened up to both the kitchen and sitting room).
The extension successfully connects these rooms to the outdoor swimming pool and pool house to the front, and the extensive gardens to the rear.
The concept was to ‘retain but relocate’ two elegant large stone-mullioned windows into a newly built natural stone external wall five metres to the side of the existing house.
The extension has a ‘pyramid’ rooflight to the rear, and a fully glazed wall to the front, towards the pool (and affording dramatic views over the surrounding countryside).
